Nic & Jo got married at Hendall Manor Barns on a beautiful sunny Saturday in early September. Hendall is an immaculately converted 17th century barn tucked right into the heart of the East Sussex countryside and is a truly lovely venue for a modern and grown up barn wedding!
Now, I’m a bit of sucker for white and pale colours but I do love a couple who are happy to go all out with a bold colour scheme and the pinks and purples worked perfectly with Ni & Jo’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme, adding a relaxed and fun element to the day. And take a look at those lilies! The barn smelt absolutely incredible as Jo made her entrance.
Nic and Jo really are such a lovely couple, comfortable and at complete ease with one another with a real sense of fun about them. The photos taken after dinner on the jetty are some of my favourites from the day. Jo’s bridesmaids in their fab 80’s puffball dresses needed absolutely no encouragement to liven up the formals!
As the day started to wind down and the sun set in a blaze of early autumn gold, it was great to see Nic & Jo’s family and friends relaxed, chatting with cigars and thoroughly enjoying the end to what was the best of wedding days.
