Claire & Jamal’s Jeremy’s Restaurant wedding, tucked away in the beautiful grounds of Borde Hill Gardens, was the very definition of a picture perfect Sussex garden wedding. Claire & Jamal wanted a laid back and family focused celebration, with their two sweet daughters taking on duties as flower girls and Claire’s sister doing her proud as chief bridesmaid. I love the photos of them all just before the ceremony straightening one another out and getting ready to make the walk in and I also loved Claire’s lace dress and boho style 🙂
After a heartfelt ceremony and many congratulatory hugs, Pimms and lemonade was served on the lawn and while guests chatted and mingled in the afternoon sunshine, the kids dashed around, played ‘I Spy’ in the contained grounds, climbed trees, and battled it out over games of giant Connect Four. A perfect way to keep them occupied before dinner! I’m mighty glad I managed to catch the girls for a couple of family photographs with Mum & Dad before they went in to eat!
Jeremy’s Restaurant has a marquee set up on the terrace for larger weddings and it was beautifully decorated with wildflower centerpieces and yards of pastel coloured bunting that really complimented the overall feel of the day. What a very nice place to sit down and watch the sun set over the gardens as you dig into the amazing dishes that Jeremy’s is well known for serving up!
So lovely to be be part of this family’s day for a short but very important while and I cannot wait to return.
