Patrick’s Barn Wedding

Tudor & Richie’s Patrick’s Barn wedding was the perfect mix of country house grandeur and proper rustic barn and they pulled it all together seamlessly!

I caught up with Tudor at the family home as she got ready for the big day ahead, getting a first look at her gorgeous dress with it’s sweet sash that perfectly matched her floral headband and bouquet, thanks to the awesome talents of Lisa at Cabbage White Flowers.

Patrick’s Barn is a truly unique venue as the blessing ceremony can be held outside on the sweeping lawns of the grand main house and the reception afterwards in the rustic barn. Much to everyone’s relief, the forecasted thunderstorms held off and Tudor and Richie were able to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony they’d planned for.

Arriving in quirky style in Deluxe Wedding Car’s adorable and popular ‘Floss’ Tudor made her big entrance and the marriage was blessed under the boughs of the 400 year old oak tree.

Drinks and canapes were served on the terrace in the blazing sunshine, and friends relaxed in the warmth of the late spring day while we nipped off for some family photos. As the barn was readied, Tudor and Richie were showered with huge handfuls of confetti, before taking their seats for an absolute feast of a meal expertly prepared by Becky and Jeremy, the resident Garden Chefs.

After a truly lovely round of heartfelt and genuine speeches, we took a walk in the balmy evening air up to the iconic giant redwoods that line the drive of the main house for more photos with the big balloons.  I’m not one to miss out on an opportunity and we had some fun gamely wobbling about on chairs and re-creating some ‘Up’ type scenes before the evening celebrations got underway!

Such a fantastic wedding, with friends and family travelling from as far away as New Zealand to be there, it was my absolute pleasure to record this family focused day for such a sweet and devoted young couple 🙂

“Thank you so much Sue, we couldn’t be happier with our photographs of our wedding day, they are simply stunning. You were amazing and felt like a welcomed guest, rather than the token photographer. We will treasure them forever.”
